A Message from our New Assistant Principal - Mrs. Laura Ismerio

Hello, my name is Laura Ismerio and I am excited to be a part of the Our Lady Queen of Angels community. I have taught in Catholic schools as a fourth and fifth-grade teacher in Los Angeles and recently worked with Catapult Learning delivering professional development workshops and instructional coaching for teachers. It was through Catapult Learning that I was blessed with working with schools in the Diocese of Orange. I am truly impressed and humbled by the work and dedication of the teachers here.

I received my master’s in education from Loyola Marymount University and I am currently working on an Ed.D in Interdisciplinary Leadership from Creighton University, both Jesuit schools. Being educated in Jesuit schools and working in a Jesuit school I have come to understand what it means to be a “woman for and with others,” the importance of love and compassion in everything we do, and to use prayer, creativity, and courage to do what others feel is impossible. I truly believe that God places us where we are most needed and I look forward to the work that God has in store for us.
