Accreditation

Celebrating 60 years in Catholic elementary education, Our Lady Queen of Angels school can boast of its achievement in providing excellence and the best Catholic education in the country. OLQA’s strong leadership, up-to-date curriculum, high-quality teaching, policies and practices that ensure a safe environment conducive to learning, strong parental involvement, and great concern for all students to achieve their individual potential have earned them such prestigious National Blue Ribbon School Award (2000-2001) and accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges (WASC).

In November of 2023, WASC completed its school visit and announced their unanimous recommendation for full accreditation for Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic School. The WASC Visiting Committee confirmed OLQA “fully meets all the benchmarks in the four domain areas of the self-study.” These are but three of the many commendations reported by the Visiting Committee:
  1. The leadership team exceeds national, state, and diocesan requirements for leadership preparation and licensing and participates in professional development beyond the requirements.
  1. At OLQA, classroom instruction is designed to motivate and engage all students through differentiation using skill-focused groups, small groups, strategic partnerships, and blended learning.
  1. The school has implemented many schoolwide programs for parents/guardians that provide opportunities for them to partner with school leaders, faculty, and each other to enhance the educational experiences for the school community, such as Parent Teacher Organization (PTO), room parents, team parents, event chairs.
